The weights of the seafood shown on YSSeafood.my are gross weights (before cleaning, descaling and removal of internal organs). After descaling & gutting the seafood, the weight of seafood will reduce around 15%-30%

  • Wild-caught seafood / vacuum-packed and refrigerate / Descaled & gutted / All 1kg & above fishes will be sliced 

If you want your seafood to be packaged or handled in a certain way, please note down your request in the “Remark” column before making payment. We will try our best to fulfill your requests.

黑鲳鱼(Black Pomfret / Bawal Hitam)


黑鲳鱼是一种身体扁平的海鱼,因其刺少肉嫩、味佳、营养丰富,很受人们喜爱。它含有丰富的不饱和脂肪酸,有降低胆固醇、益气养血,柔劲利骨的功效。它与白鲳鱼一样,属于鲈形目,除了颜色不一样,黑鲳鱼的肉质相对更厚及好吃。烹煮方式有很多种:红烧、咖喱、炸等等。


常见煮法:红烧黑鲳鱼,香煎黑鲳鱼


A saltwater fish characterized by its flat body, black pomfret is well-loved by many because of how delectable and nutritious it is. It has very few bones, and its taste is mild but not bland. Rich in unsaturated fats, it functions to lower cholesterol levels and nourish the body. It is a perciform just like white pomfret, and aside from their difference in colour, black pomfret is even more fleshy and delicious compared to white pomfret. There are many ways in which you can enjoy black pomfret, such as by braising it, cooking it in curry and deep-frying it.
