The weights of the seafood shown on YSSeafood.my are gross weights (before cleaning, descaling and removal of internal organs). After descaling & gutting the seafood, the weight of seafood will reduce around 30-40+%

Cuttlefish and squids are marine molluscs. The Malays use the broad term, “sotong”, for octopus, cuttlefish and squids. Meanwhile, the Chinese only use the word “sotong” for squids, and they use the term “baby sotong” for tiny squids. Squids and cuttlefish are extremely nutritious, with an abundance of protein and very little fats. Because of how low in calories they are, squids and cuttlefish are extremely suitable for those who are trying to lose weight. Aside from this, most of the fats in squids and cuttlefish are unsaturated fats such as EPA and DHA. They also contain plenty of taurine, which effectively reduces the build-up of cholesterol on the walls of arteries.
